PACIFIC ANGEL Mission in Covalima Timor-Leste ─ Health, Security and Engineering Topics
From 4 to 18 June 2018, MGTIS Timor-Leste provided 5 English <> local language translators for the PACIFIC ANGEL mission in Suai, Covalima. The Pacific Angel nations (Australia, Indonesia and United States) have partnered with Timor-Leste military and civilian medical professionals to provide general medicine, physical therapy, pediatrics, dental, optometry and other public health services. Their forces worked together to share expertise with one another and the community focusing on general medicine, optometry, dental, physical therapy and public health, as well as security. They have also partnered to provide structural, plumbing, and electrical engineering improvements to several locations (schools and clinics) in and around Suai.
